The Gion quarters of Kyoto - world renowned as the center of the Japanese Geisha and Maiko culture. It is here that Chef Naoki Okumura learned the traditions of Western cuisine from his father, and now adorns the counters of his establishment, Restaurant Okumura Gion with his unique, Kyoto 'kaiseki’ style of French cuisine and confections.
